Aylin KILIÇ UZBEK (former surname: Ertan ) graduated from Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine in 1998; trained on eye diseases in Department of Eye Diseases of Başkent University Faculty of Medicine; published her specialization thesis on the evaluation of histopatological response to the permanent plug treatment via impression cytology in dry eye patients; she begun to work in Kudret Göz Hospital in 2002.
She attended to the training sessions in the opearating theatres of Eye Diseases Departments of Duke University - Durham / USA, Bordeaux University - Bordeaux / France, St Thomas Hospital - London / England, Columbia University - New York / USA.
She already serving as internation rewiever (arbitrator) in various international journals like Journal of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, Refractive Surgery, Cornea.
She specialized especially in cataract surgery, excimer laser and femtolaser (FS) surgery, fakik IOLs, keratoconus, crosslinking treatment, intracorneal ring (Intacs, keraring), topography, thaught in numerous corses on keratoconus surgery in abroad countries; conducted more than 30.000 surgical operations (cataract, laser, Intacs, crosslink) and attended in numerous scientific congresses in abroad countries as guest speaker. Currently she is working as the head physician and Director of Cataract and Refractive Unit in Kudret Göz Hospital in Ankara.
